Honoring our community with accessible therapy, joyful giving, and local support efforts

This holiday season, we’re honored to support the Skip Cline Society Toy Drive, organized by the Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation. The drive helps bring joy to pediatric patients—babies, children, and families—receiving care in the Emergency Departments and neonatal units of Morton Plant Mease hospitals.

We’re inviting our community to join us in making a difference. Any size donation can help create moments of light and comfort during what may be a very difficult time for these precious people.

Want to help?

You can drop off new, unwrapped toys at our office, simply scan the QR code on the image above to make a direct donation, or click here.

If you’d like to coordinate a drop-off, feel free to give us a call to find out when we’ll be there. We’d love to connect and say thank you in person. Every little bit brings a smile to a child’s face.

Other Ways We Give Back

Text on the image reads “Sunshine and Self-Care,” with details about the donation to the Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation fundraiser in October 2025.

Our “Sunshine and Self-Care” basket (valued at $350–$400) helped raise $126 at Morton Plant Mease’s fall fundraiser to support nursing education

Since opening our doors in 2022, we’ve also provided over $12,000 worth of pro bono and reduced-fee therapy to individuals navigating financial hardship. We know that when life hits hard, mental health support is needed more than ever.

While those reduced-fee and pro bono spots are limited and may not always be available, they remain a meaningful part of how we serve. Including community projects like this one.

Want to learn more about how we support our clients and our community?
We’d love to connect. Whether you’re curious about therapy, have questions about availability, or just want to know more about what we do—we’re here for you.

A Warm Welcome from Honor Your Way Therapy

Welcome to Honor Your Way Therapy—home of Clearwater’s compassionate counseling couch. I’m Tracy Sisk, LMHC (MH24371) and founder of HYWT. I’m proud to offer trauma-responsive therapy in Clearwater and throughout Florida online.

In this first blog, I invite you into the story of how I created a healing therapy space during an especially challenging time. You’ll learn how “the couch” became more than furniture—it became a symbol of comfort, hope, and deep healing.

Along the way, you’ll get a sense of who I am and how I work with people like you. My hope is, you’ll begin to see how together we can move you from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to a place of empowerment and growth.

Designing a Healing Space Through the Storm

Each item in the space is chosen with care to reflect hope, healing, and personal connection.

Opening my own therapy office was a huge milestone—but it came during an unexpected storm season. Literally. While signing the lease for the new space, Hurricanes Helene and Milton swept through our region, creating disruption and heartache for so many.

As I supported my community through the chaos, I quietly focused on designing a space that would offer calm and comfort. Little did I know, the journey was healing me, too.

In the midst of our chaos, I found that the act of designing the office wasn’t just decorating—it was self-healing. It eased my anxiety and helped me reconnect with hope. As Maxine Hong Kingston once said, “In a time of destruction, create something,”1 I felt the ease and resilience brought by building the space deeply.

This experience reminded me of something essential: hope is a verb. Being a beacon for others, even in small ways, helps keep us all going. I am grateful for those who have been lights in my life—and grateful to now be that light for others through compassionate counseling in Clearwater.

And Then Came the Couch

The couch that started it all—offering warmth, comfort, and calm at Honor Your Way Therapy in Clearwater.

One joyful memory from those early days was sharing the space with a close friend who helped me with finishing touches. As we sat in the therapy room, she said something that stuck with me:

“To think… it all started with the couch!”

She was right. That beautiful couch was my first big purchase—and it quickly became the heart of the room. It grounded the entire space and inspired every other design decision.

Clients and colleagues often comment on the calm vibe in the office. The fireplace, cozy blankets, inspiring books—each element invites rest and reflection. One client told me that after reading Do More of What You Love2 in the waiting area, they finally let go of the anxiety that was holding them back and agreed to a long-delayed vacation with their spouse.

That’s the power of an intentional space—and that’s what you’ll find when you walk into the office. A space to breathe. To feel. To heal.

Embracing Your Wholeness

Peaceful healing brings inner harmony, resilience, and the journey toward wholeness.

Therapy isn’t just about talking—it’s about being seen and accepted for all that you are. In this space, you’re free to be exactly who you are without judgment.

I work with individuals from all backgrounds, drawing from a lifetime of diverse friendships and a deep respect for culture and community. These experiences shape the way I practice compassionate counseling in Clearwater: with warmth, curiosity, and humility.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, or relationship struggles, you’ll find therapy here to be collaborative, human, and tailored to your lived experience. That’s what therapy should be—grounded, affirming, and real.

One of my favorite resources, Sharing the Rock by Bill Grace3 speaks to this belief in honoring the diversity and dignity of every person to help us all thrive. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something to nourish your heart and mind.

The Heart of Compassionate Counseling

Compassionate counseling offers a sense of ease on your journey

Uncomfortable feelings like shame, guilt, or grief may surface during therapy—and that’s okay. What matters is how we hold those feelings. I specialize in holding space for deep emotions with care and compassion.

Gentleness isn’t weakness—it’s wisdom. When you’re supported with empathy, healing comes more easily. Over time, you’ll learn to welcome and care for your emotions rather than fear or avoid them.

That’s the foundation of trauma-responsive therapy in Clearwater—meeting you where you are, and walking with you at your pace.

Honor Your Way Forward

Creating your path to emotional-relational health with self-compassion and empathy

The healing journey isn’t about perfection—it’s about permission. Permission to feel. Permission to be human. Permission to heal.

We’ve all had moments that make us say, “What the Fuuuuulorida?”© Life can be messy. But no matter where you are, healing is possible. And you don’t have to walk the path alone.

When we work together, you’ll discover that your strength is already inside you. With time, self-compassion, and support, you’ll move forward with integrity and confidence. You’ll learn how to care for yourself in new ways—and love others more deeply in return.

This is your invitation to Honor Your Way—with courage, grace, and a little bit of badass magic.

The Couch Is Ready—Are You?

If something in you is ready for change, listen to it. Whether you’re carrying trauma, overwhelmed by anxiety, or just ready to stop feeling stuck—let’s talk. The couch is here, and so am I.

Let’s walk your healing path—your way.
